Role Overview
As a Rehabilitation Support Worker with The Disabilities Trust, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with brain injuries to regain their independence and confidence.

About the Role
Our assessment centres, rehabilitation units, and hospitals use expert neurorehabilitation to support people to regain the skills they have lost. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive rehabilitation programme, tailored to meet the individual needs of each service user.

Responsibilities
Some key responsibilities of the role include:

• Providing emotional support and encouragement to service users, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals
• Assisting with daily living tasks, such as personal care and domestic duties
• Participating in rehabilitation activities, such as occupational therapy and leisure pursuits
• Maintaining accurate records of service user progress and contributing to the development of individual care plans

Requirements
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting people with brain injuries and have a genuine empathy for our service users. Key skills and qualities include:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with colleagues and service users
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
