Clinical Psychologist Role at Cygnet

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Oldbury. This state-of-the-art PICU and Acute hospital for women offers a dynamic and supportive environment for professionals passionate about delivering high-quality care.

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of complex mental health needs, providing specialist psychological assessments, interpretation from psychological tests, semi-structured interviews, individual and group therapy.

The successful candidate will have a key role in providing a high-quality psychology service to patients across all aspects of care, supervising and supporting the psychological assessment and therapy provided by Assistant Psychologists and other clinical members of the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake specialist psychological assessments and formulate care plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of patient's mental health problems.
  • Provide consultation on the psychological care of the client group to staff, families, and other agencies.
  • Develop skills in professional postgraduate teaching, training, and supervision in accordance with Department needs and as identified in the appraisal review process.
