Child Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Mental Health Specialist to join our team at We Manage Jobs (WMJobs). This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work with children and families in need, delivering evidence-based systemic interventions in family homes.
The successful candidate will have a related degree or professional qualification in social work, youth offending, mental health, psychology, counselling, nursing, or a related field. They will also possess post-qualification experience working in a statutory agency that provides experience of working with children and families with complex needs.
Key responsibilities include managing a caseload of 3-4 families, delivering intensive, specialized community-based therapeutic programs of Multisystemic therapy for Child Abuse and Neglect (MST-CAN). This will involve providing 24-hour coverage to families on a rota basis within the team.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to practice in accordance with the MST-CAN clinical model and principles. A strong understanding of family systems theory, social ecological theory, and behavioral theory, as well as their application, is essential.
We offer a competitive salary of £36,124 - £40,476 per annum, depending on experience, along with a generous local government career average pension scheme with employer contributions of 21%. Flexible working patterns and well-defined career progression opportunities are also available.
