About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plumber to join our team at Government Facility Services Ltd. As a key member of our Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex maintenance issues and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize resource allocation.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders, including prisoners, staff, and visitors.
Requirements
  • Two years' experience working in a role as a plumber or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with and ability to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements.
  • Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
