Electrical Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at HMP Highpoint, a Category C & Adult Male prison. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of electrical systems within the prison.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance operations on electrical systems
  • Identify and rectify electrical faults and defects
  • Conduct routine inspections of electrical equipment and systems
  • Perform electrical installations and modifications as required
  • Work collaboratively with other maintenance teams to ensure the overall maintenance of the prison
Requirements:
  • Two years' experience working in a role as an electrician
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
  • Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations
  • Electrician qualified to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
  • 17th or 18th Edition
  • Certificate in BS7671
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
