Maintenance Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Four Seasons Health Care. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and serviceability of our care homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned maintenance of the care home, including upkeep of the building, grounds, and external areas.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of all services, including heating, lighting, plumbing, and non-medical equipment.
  • Maintain the home's exterior, including pathways, driveways, plants, and external lighting.
  • Identify and report maintenance defects, and engage proactively with stakeholders to ensure all allocated tasks are carried out effectively.
  • Undertake decorating, minor refurbishment, and maintenance within the home, including painting and wallpapering.
  • Provide out-of-hours emergency service by participating in the on-call rota and providing temporary cover for sister homes.
  • Assist with fire and water risk assessments and reviews, and carry out plumbing, joinery, and general building repairs.
  • Maintain the company vehicle and carry out basic safety checks.
Requirements:

  • Ability to work unsupervised and confidently carry out fault-finding and basic repairs.
