Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Reinsurance Accountant to join our team on an interim basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with the technical and ceded reinsurance team to ensure accurate reporting on month and quarter close.
  • Utilizing reinsurance data to provide insights to finance, actuarial, and operations teams on areas such as profit and loss, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Improving newly implemented accounting systems to ensure all reporting is in line with regulatory standards (SII/ IFRS17).

Requirements:

  • Strong insurance technical reporting/accounting across reinsurance premiums.
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA or strong QBE within reinsurance accounting.
  • Strong Excel modeling skills.
  • Proficient analytical/data skills, with excellent story-telling for profit and loss.
  • Ability to support with close accurately and on time.
  • Excellent GL and bank reconciliations experience.

Personal Profile:
