Care Team Manager

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the highest standards of resident care by supervising and guiding the care team in delivering person-centred care.
  • Coordinate the resident assessment process, ensuring the resident is involved in identifying needs and preferences and that all relevant information is integrated into the care plan.
  • Work hands-on with the team to ensure the appropriate levels of care are in place at all times.
  • Deliver and manage the medication administration process, ensuring robust auditing procedures and identifying any training needs.
  • Recruit, manage, and develop the care team through the Cinnamon process, ensuring contracted hours are efficiently managed and recruitment needs are monitored.
  • Communicate effectively with family members regarding resident needs and progress.
  • Manage team member absence and conduct return-to-work sessions with support from the Deputy Manager and home Administrator.
  • Conduct and oversee effective handovers between shifts, ensuring the Deputy Manager and General Manager are kept informed.
  • Provide daily coaching and support to Senior Care Assistants and Care Assistants, leading by example.

Essential:
  • NVQ 3 essential, NVQ 4 in Care and Registered Managers Award or QCF Level 4 Diploma in Management desirable.
  • Two years' experience in long-term care or a similar industry.
  • Experience of planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting care delivery.
  • Experience of working with older people.
