Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and well-organised Community Nurse to manage the Community Nursing Team for the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality evidence-based, place-based care.

The Community Nurse Team Manager will work closely with the Clinical Matron and Community Services Manager, alongside the wider Integrated Health and Social Care Team, to link community nursing and community matrons into the complex care team.

The post-holder will line manage the wider community nursing teams, the community matrons, and work closely with the Clinical Matron and Community Services Manager to ensure that cluster and practice population receive the appropriate care and treatment as close to home as possible.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing effective day-to-day operational leadership of a cluster group of community nurses.
  2. Ensuring the Community Nursing service delivers its core specification within allocated resources.
  3. Managing service delivery against risks.
