Job DescriptionThis senior-level position involves playing a pivotal role in ensuring the safe operation of nuclear facilities and adherence to regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing thorough assessments of nuclear criticality safety using specialized codes and software.
- Developing and implementing criticality safety programs, policies, and procedures in line with industry standards and regulations.
- Leading complex calculations and analyses to mitigate potential risks associated with nuclear criticality events.
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in nuclear criticality assessment and safety within the nuclear industry.
- Expertise in nuclear criticality codes and regulatory requirements.
- Proven leadership skills in managing criticality safety projects and guiding junior staff members.
The estimated salary range for this position is between £60,000 and £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
