Job Summary:Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Educator assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual passionate about making a real difference in the lives of students with additional educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide tailored 1:1 support to students, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning styles and needs.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of educational activities, ensuring that the student remains engaged and motivated.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Monitor and record the student's progress, providing feedback and contributing to the review of educational goals.
- Support the student in managing their behaviour and developing social skills.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Previous experience working with children or young adults in an educational setting, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting the educational and emotional development of students.
- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN is desirable, but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS check and on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
