Senior Mental Health Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Thanet Community Mental Health Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to our patients.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and treatment of mental health conditions under secondary mental health services.
- Manage, appraise, and provide professional supervision to junior medical staff.
- Participate in service and business planning activities for the locality and whole mental health.
- Work with local managers and professional colleagues to ensure efficient service running and share medical contributions to management.
- Undertake administrative duties associated with patient care.
- Attend and participate in the Trust's academic programme, including lectures and seminars as part of the internal CPD programme.

Requirements
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months.
- Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
Desirable
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- MRCPsych.
- Additional clinical qualifications.
