We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join our team at MTrec Commercial. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and growing our bid team to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the commercial tendering process, ensuring timely visibility of all opportunities.
- Lead on, write, and project manage bids and proposals from beginning to end.
- Identify, bid for, and maintain position on appropriate sector frameworks.
- Manage and oversee the bid team during the bid process, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Responsible for devising a successful strategy for winning a bid, including pinpointing the unique selling points, knowing the company's operating and profit margins, and understanding the customer's specific requirements.
- Coach on presentations and collate bid feedback.
- Initial review of tenders, collation of deadlines, and distribution of questions to the relevant departments.
- Responsible for the quality of all aspects of the bid, including written documentation and presentation material.
- Coordinate all parties involved in the bid process to ensure everyone is aware of the level of contribution expected of them and deadlines.
- Research, write, and prepare pre-qualification and tender documents to ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure that bids are submitted on time and are as complete and accurate as possible, while also best reflecting the company's services and abilities.
- Write high-quality text, ensuring consistency of responses in terms of quality, key phrases, and key words.
- As part of the bid workflow, liaise with other parts of the business to ensure that all information submitted is up-to-date and accurate.
- Work with the Marketing Department to source and coordinate design input to ensure the visual standard of all documentation and presentation material is engaging.
- Completion of supplier forms.
- Attend departmental BDM meetings and liaise with the head of the department to support the implementation of their plans.
- Assist with the review of contract performance by collating data from the system, as well as customer feedback forms and performance review meetings.
- Prepare and upkeep of high-quality responses to be used as reference in future.
- Keep the team up to date with the relevant tender actions and milestones.
- Abide by the company core values and code of ethics.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Bid Manager who has a proven track record in bid coordination and tender experience. A degree-educated individual is preferable but not essential. You will have a working knowledge of high levels of attention to detail, customer relationship-focused, and a great commercial awareness.
You will be able to effectively prioritize a busy workload and meet project deadlines with proven project management skills. You will have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to demonstrate high levels of initiative and motivation.
You will be able to work closely with other team members, ability to influence and persuade others, and a UK driving license is desirable.
