Land Acquisition Specialist

Madisons Recruitment is seeking a skilled Land Buyer to join their team in Hertfordshire. As a key member of the housing development team, you will be responsible for sourcing and acquiring land for new projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain relationships with land agents, landowners, and other stakeholders to identify potential land opportunities.
- Conduct initial assessments of land sites to determine their viability for development.
- Carry out market research and appraisals to identify the best land options for the company.
- Obtain site records and coordinate land registry/ownership enquiries to ensure a smooth acquisition process.
- Prepare appraisals for sites using software and manage external consultants to agreed timescales.
- Attend design team meetings and prepare planning documentation for sites progressing through the pre-application enquiry and full planning application process.
- Liaise with planning department representatives and manage the discharge of pre-commencement planning conditions.
- 4 years of experience in the industry, preferably with a construction company.
- Hold a Planning/Surveyor qualification or equivalent.
- Competitive salary of £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.
- Company car allowance or company vehicle provided.
- 22 days annual leave + bank holidays and Christmas period.
- Health insurance provided.
- Bonus on land acquisitions.
- Working hours: 8:30 - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
