Land Buyer Job Description

Madisons Recruitment is seeking a skilled Land Buyer to join our team. As a key member of our land acquisition team, you will be responsible for sourcing and acquiring land for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with land agents, landowners, and other stakeholders to identify potential land opportunities.
  • Conduct site assessments and market research to determine the viability of land purchases.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and sales teams to establish land acquisition criteria and priorities.
  • Obtain site records, including services, adoptable highways, and drainage information, and coordinate land registry and ownership enquiries.
  • Prepare site appraisals using software and manage external consultants to ensure timely and accurate information.
  • Attend design team meetings and coordinate with internal colleagues and external consultants to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Prepare planning documentation and liaise with planning department representatives to manage the planning process.

Requirements:

  • 4 years of experience in the industry, preferably with a construction company.
  • Hold a Planning or Surveyor qualification.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary of £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.
  • Company car allowance or company vehicle provided.
  • 22 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and Christmas period.

  • Working hours: 8:30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
