Land Buyer Job Description

Madisons Recruitment is seeking a skilled Land Buyer to join their team. As a key member of the land acquisition team, you will be responsible for sourcing and acquiring land for a reputable Housing Developer based in Hertfordshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with land agents, landowners, and other stakeholders to source land from various means.
  • Conduct initial assessments of land opportunities to identify the best options for pursuit, including generating leads on new opportunities.
  • Perform market research and appraise land against established criteria, in collaboration with internal stakeholders and sales teams.
  • Obtain existing site records, including services, adoptable highways, drainage, and land registry/ownership information.
  • Prepare site appraisals using software and manage external consultants to ensure timely information flow.
  • Coordinate with internal colleagues and external consultants to attend Design Team meetings and prepare planning documentation.
  • Liaise with Planning Department representatives to manage the planning process and discharge pre-commencement planning conditions.
Requirements:
  • 4 years of experience in the industry, with a Planning/Surveyor qualification ideal.
  • Proven experience working with a Construction Company.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary of £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.
