Madisons Recruitment is seeking a skilled Land Buyer to join their team. As a key member of the land acquisition team, you will be responsible for sourcing and acquiring land for a reputable Housing Developer based in Hertfordshire.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain strong relationships with land agents, landowners, and other stakeholders to source land from various means.
- Conduct initial assessments of land opportunities to identify the best options for pursuit, including generating leads on new opportunities.
- Perform market research and appraise land against established criteria, in collaboration with internal stakeholders and sales teams.
- Obtain existing site records, including services, adoptable highways, drainage, and land registry/ownership information.
- Prepare site appraisals using software and manage external consultants to ensure timely information flow.
- Coordinate with internal colleagues and external consultants to attend Design Team meetings and prepare planning documentation.
- Liaise with Planning Department representatives to manage the planning process and discharge pre-commencement planning conditions.
- 4 years of experience in the industry, with a Planning/Surveyor qualification ideal.
- Proven experience working with a Construction Company.
- Competitive salary of £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.
- Company Car Allowance/Company Vehicle provided.
- 22 days annual leave + Bank holidays and Christmas period.
- Health insurance provided.
- Bonus on Land Acquisitions.
- Working hours: 8:30 - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
- Pension Scheme.
