Job Description

Madisons Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Land Acquisition Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Land Acquisition team, you will be responsible for sourcing and acquiring land for our clients in the housing development sector.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land acquisition, with experience in negotiating with landowners, agents, and other stakeholders. You will be responsible for identifying and evaluating potential land opportunities, conducting market research, and preparing appraisals for sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with land agents, landowners, and other stakeholders to source land opportunities.
  • Conduct initial assessments of land opportunities to determine their viability for development.
  • Carry out market research and appraisals to identify the best sites for development.
  • Prepare and present appraisals to internal stakeholders and sales teams.
  • Manage external consultants and coordinate the flow of information to agreed timescales.
  • Attend design team meetings and prepare planning documentation for sites progressing through the pre-application enquiry and full planning application process.
  • Liaise with planning department representatives and manage the discharge of pre-commencement planning conditions.

Requirements:

  • 4 years of experience in the land acquisition industry.
  • Must have experience working with construction companies.
  • Candidate will ideally hold a planning or surveying qualification.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary of £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.
  • Company car allowance or company vehicle provided.
  • 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays and Christmas period.
  • Health insurance provided.
  • Bonus on land acquisitions.
  • Working hours: 8:30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Pension scheme.
