About the Role

Vistry Group PLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety, Health and Environment Specialist to join our team. As an SHE Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's commitment to safety, health, and environmental excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess potential safety, health, and environmental risks associated with construction projects and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Collaborate with site management and business units to implement safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards and provide guidance and support to site teams.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of site personnel in safety, health, and environmental best practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to site management and business units on safety, health, and environmental matters.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry associations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in safety, health, and environmental management.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH Construction or equivalent diploma.
  • Experience in the construction industry, preferably in a safety advisor role.
  • Member of a professional body, progressing to chartered status.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
