We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team, with a focus on working in a physical setting. This role would be suitable for a Band 6 or an experienced Band 5 looking to gain experience at a Band 6 level.
The successful candidate will possess effective communication, organisational, and time management skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
We work with the adult population of Caithness, providing services in both hospital and community settings. The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly across the Occupational Therapy service, with peer support and clinical supervision provided by our experienced team.
The ideal candidate will hold a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy, be HCPC registered, and possess a full UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.
This is a full-time position of 37 hours per week, with part-time hours also considered. The role is fixed-term for 12 months, covering a period of maternity leave.
A driving licence is essential, and a pool car will be available; however, applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes if required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Occupational Therapy services to the adult population of Caithness
- Work collaboratively with the Occupational Therapy team to deliver services
- Develop and maintain effective communication and organisational skills
- Contribute to the clinical supervision and day-to-day workload management of support workers
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes

NHS Scotland is committed to reducing its full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff.
