Job Summary

As a Physiotherapy Specialist for Musculoskeletal Care, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality physiotherapy services to patients with various acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.

This full-time position, based on a 37-hour working week, requires an experienced MSK physiotherapist who can work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including GPs, occupational therapists, and specialist consultants. You must be able to provide specialized advice regarding musculoskeletal assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in service development initiatives to enhance patient care and improve outcomes.
  • Provide clinical supervision, support, training, and delegation to Band 5 physiotherapists, students, and physiotherapy assistants.
  • Manage patient care as part of a wider team, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Contribute to regular In-service training, service development, and quality improvement activities within protected learning time and non-clinical time.

You will also have the opportunity to work within the local cardiac rehabilitation service, supporting individuals to return to or increase physical activity and exercise safely. This involves assisting them in managing their risk factors and preserving optimal functioning long-term.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • A driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are essential.
  • Applicants should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in providing physiotherapy services to patients with various musculoskeletal conditions, along with a strong understanding of clinical governance principles.
  • A Master's degree in Physiotherapy or a related field is highly desirable.

In exchange for your dedication and expertise, we offer a competitive salary package, reflecting the UK national average for this role, approximately £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
