Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at BTG Recruitment. As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the finance team, overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, and preparing monthly management accounts, VAT returns, and business partnering reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance team, overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, VAT returns, and business partnering reports.
- Oversee cash flow management, including daily monitoring and weekly forecasts.
- Manage year-end processes, external audits, and ensure accurate tax returns.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and improve financial processes.
- Monitor stock levels and support raw material planning.
- Authorise vendor payments and customer credit limits.
- Prepare and review payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Candidate Requirements:
- A professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment and a proven track record of leading a small finance team would be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of management accounts and year-end statutory processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (preferably with Power BI) and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills, particularly when liaising with directors.
