Are you a commercially astute accountant looking for a well-rounded role within finance that will allow you to play a key part in both the production of month-end reports and get to grips with long-term budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling?

About this Role:

We are assisting a renowned manufacturing brand in their search for a Senior Accountant to join their growing Loughborough-based finance function.

The successful candidate will manage the finances for a £20 million revenue department of the company, with progression routes readily accessible. You will also report into a knowledgeable and understanding Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  1. Preparing monthly forecasts and bridge analysis for the monthly P&L statement.
  2. Production of the month-end close, including journals and the general ledger account.
  3. Analysis of financial reports before presenting findings to senior leadership.
  4. Sales and trend analysis to aid financial planning.
  5. Assistance with year-end audit.
  6. Ensuring financial business processes comply with GAAP and/or IFRS.
Requirements:
  1. You must be a finalist or qualified accountant, preferably CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
  2. Previous experience with forecasting and month-end accounts is essential.
  3. A good knowledge of Excel and accountancy systems is required.

Prior financial modelling experience is desirable but not mandatory.

This role is similar in responsibilities to Senior Accountant, Commercial Accountant, Finance Business Partner, Finance Analyst, Senior Finance Analyst, Finance Manager, Financial Accountant, and Management Accountant.

The estimated salary for this position is £50,000 + benefits, reflecting the location and industry standards.
