About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commis Chef to join our production kitchen team at Harrods. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the organization, stock rotation, and labeling of food stored, ensuring that all administration for your own section is completed and complies with deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth operation and delivery of kitchen operations, working closely with the Chef de Partie and other team members.
- Guarantee that Food Safety standards are adhered to by enforcing high standards of hygiene and sanitation in all food-related outlets.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and service standards.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to achieve high-quality food production and presentation.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new menu ideas and concepts.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for food and drink, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety protocols. You will be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary package of up to £15 per hour, including a generous base salary and service charge.
- Set contracted hours, with paid additional working hours at an overtime rate of 1.5 per hour.
- Minimal late evenings, with majority of shifts finished by 10pm.
- Staff canteen and 30 days' annual leave, including bank holidays and birthday off.
- Up to 33% Harrods discount and other employee benefits.
