Role Overview

BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Systems Engineer to join our Electrical Verification team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for the verification and validation of the power system through compatibility testing of equipment and power system analysis.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Job Description:

Main Responsibilities
  • Technical point of contact for other engineers and support with developing and mentoring other team members
  • Ensuring the team operates efficiently and effectively in meeting project timelines and objectives
  • Overseeing the planning, execution and monitoring of engineering
  • Collaborating with multi-discipline teams, suppliers and stakeholders on matters related to the compatibility test facility
  • Preparing technical reports, progress reports, and presentations, communicating results and advising recommendations

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience in electrical or power engineering
  • Knowledge of high power and medium voltage power systems and distributions
  • Knowledge of compatibility testing of electrical equipment and power electronics
  • Project Management experience would be advantageous
  • Chartered Engineer or actively working towards Chartership
