About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Meetings and Events Sales Executive to join our team at the Radisson Blu Hotel Durham. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and exceeding our guests' expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the smooth running of the sales office, ensuring all aspects of the guest journey and experience are delivered to the highest level.
  • Work proactively to improve client enquiries, delivering a positive and timely response to enquiries.
  • Deliver on plans and objectives, ensuring department and hotel targets are achieved.
  • Accountable for ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Review and scrutinize the performance of the business, providing recommendations that will drive financial performance.
  • Ensure adherence and compliance to all legislation, where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required.

Requirements

  • Experience in event management.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client service with a passion for the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to find creative solutions with proven problem-solving capabilities, offering support where required.
  • Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy.
  • Experience of working with IT systems on various platforms.
  • Strong communication, organization skills and an eye for detail.
