About the Role
EMCOR UK is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
- Investigate incidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders to stay up-to-date on the latest health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure health and safety is integrated into all aspects of our business.
- Develop and implement health and safety metrics and reporting to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
- Proven experience in health and safety management, preferably in a facilities management or construction industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for business travel.
