Role Overview
As a Freight Train Operative at ENGINEERINGUK, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of freight trains on the LNE - Doncaster/Newcastle/North Lincs route.
Main Responsibilities
- Operate and drive freight trains as directed.
- Conduct locomotive preparation and disposal duties, fueling locomotives when necessary.
- Participate in repairs and perform in-service locomotive and train faultfinding.
- Document and report locomotive and train defects in compliance with guidelines.
- Maintain locomotives for service readiness and undertake train preparation tasks.
Skills and Qualifications
- Comprehensive understanding of traction operations.
- Knowledge of freight rules and regulations.
- Familiarity with basic wagon mechanics.
- Adherence to Personal Track Safety standards.
Package Details
- A salary range of £50,000 - £70,000 per year.
