Railway Transportation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Railway Transportation Specialist to join our team at Colas Rail UK.
This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with experience in freight train driving and locomotive operation. As a Railway Transportation Specialist, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of freight trains on the LNE - Doncaster/Newcastle/North Lincs route.
The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of traction rules and regulations, basic wagon knowledge, and Personal Track Safety certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive freight trains safely and efficiently on the LNE route.
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance tasks on locomotives.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
- Work varied shift patterns, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Participate in route learning and training programs.
