Lead Strategic Planning and Portfolio Management

Sarepta Therapeutics is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Strategic Planning Manager to lead the development of our long-range strategic plan. This individual will work closely with our senior and executive level team to align budgets and financial planning with corporate strategy and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement portfolio strategies based on trends, opportunities, and market direction within the pharmaceutical industry and/or healthcare environment.
  • Lead monthly Portfolio Committee meetings to develop cross-functional perspective on major portfolio transitions, platform developments, and licensing opportunities.
  • Partner with finance to incorporate long-range financial plan, including investment requirements.
  • Provide risk assessment on timing of data and readouts to support investment decision making.
  • Reduce external costs/spend by utilizing internal talent to drive the successful completion of internal consulting projects while building/maintaining knowledge within Sarepta.
Requirements:
  • MBA or PhD in technical discipline with at least 15 years of experience with demonstrated success in leading large-scale programs/projects with proven results and effective leadership and management skills.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in R&D, investment optimization models, asset valuation, and portfolio assessment techniques.
  • Strong negotiation skills and financial, budget, and resource planning experience.
  • Demonstrated success in leading through influence, ability to integrate information and apply creative thinking to identify, build, and implement solutions to cross-functional team issues.
  • Strong business, analytical, and planning skills.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage projects and timelines, organize/track complex information, prioritize accordingly, and the ability to quickly adjust to shifting priorities and demanding timelines when necessary.

This is a hybrid position, and you will be expected to work on site at one of Sarepta's facilities in the United States and/or attend Company-sponsored in-person events from time to time. Sarepta Therapeutics offers a competitive compensation and benefit package.
