About The Role
Please note that this vacancy requires the successful candidate to work 37 hours per week, 38 weeks during term time and the salary will be £19,811 pro rata per annum.
A holiday payment of £2,871 will be paid equally in your twelve monthly salary payments in addition to the pro rata salary above.
EKC Group are seeking an Industry Liaison Officer to join the Group in the Animal and Land-Based Department. Animal and Land-Based Studies at EKC Group offers a range of Animal, Countryside and Horticultural courses with learners aged 14+.
As an Industry Liaison Officer (ILO) at EKC Group you will be responsible for securing and monitoring the progress of work placements in the Animal and Land-Based Department for students, and to act as the main point of contact for employer relations for these areas. This can include supporting the planning and implementation of employer events for organising employer visits for students.
Your role responsibilities would also include ensuring employers return the required documentation in a timely fashion, following college guidelines and national expectations as well as working with students on a one-to-one and small group basis to identify their employability skills gaps and supporting them to develop them to be able to complete a successful industry placement.
About You
We are seeking to appoint an Industry Liaison Officer who has excellent interpersonal skills and who possesses excellent communication skills. You will be highly organised and be able to prioritise work whilst applying a flexible and responsive approach to work demands.
You will interact with a diverse group of employers and students. You should demonstrate strong attention to detail and be capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
While a relevant Level 3 qualification is preferred, it is not mandatory. If you have experience of working in the Animal or Land-Based field, along with a passion for sharing your knowledge and expertise with the future generation this position will be ideal for you.
