Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.

The Europlan Group is a leading player in the construction industry, with a strong presence in Port of Nigg. We are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis.

Job Description:

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing key projects within our cross-functional team structure. Your primary objective will be to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

  • Progress project objectives, taking full ownership for your own projects to guarantee successful delivery.
  • Provide timely status updates, including any necessary actions to mitigate operational issues, to relevant team members.
  • Benchmark, interrogate costs, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best prices and delivery times.
  • Identify opportunities to drive efficiency and reduce costs by optimizing supply chain utilization.
  • Maintain strict budgetary control over all projects within your scope of responsibility, contributing significantly to the company's financial reporting system.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record of project buying experience within the construction industry.
  • An understanding of technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with the Export/Import process.
  • Direct experience managing both domestic and overseas suppliers, preferably in the Far East, UK, and Eastern Europe.
  • High-level computer literacy, particularly with spreadsheets, internal production planning software, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to add value to data.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent budget control.
  • Ability to explore innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • First-rate communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and a high energy level.
