Job Description

We are seeking a skilled A&E Optometrist to join our team at The Boots Company PLC. As an A&E Optometrist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating acute eye conditions, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluating and managing complex eye conditions, including ocular trauma and uveitis.
  • Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans.
  • Collaborating with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to strict confidentiality guidelines.
Requirements:
  • PhD or MSc in Optometry from a recognized institution.
  • Current registration with the General Optical Council (GOC) as an optometrist.
  • Advanced training in emergency eye care, preferably with experience in handling complex ocular cases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Estimated Salary:

£65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a range of benefits, including:
