Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate teaching assistant to join our dynamic team. This role involves working closely with a Year 1 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum and thrive within the school environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Support the pupil's learning and development, addressing their unique needs and requirements.
  2. Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  3. Create a safe and nurturing environment that encourages the child's participation and engagement.
  4. Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the child receives comprehensive support.
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Deep understanding of ASD and effective strategies for supporting learners with this condition.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • A genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of young learners.
