Job Overview:

Burton and South Derbyshire College is seeking a skilled Pastoral Support Officer to join our team. As a Pastoral Support Officer, you will provide essential support and guidance to learners, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support a cohort of approximately 200 learners, providing group and pastoral support.
  • Develop and deliver engaging Intensive Support Courses and clubs, focusing on areas such as self-care, mental health awareness, and behavior management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address barriers to learning.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, a passion for supporting learners, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues. A background in education or a related field is essential. Salary: £24,748 pro rata (£20,797 per annum)
