Job Description:
As a Senior Counsel for Franchise and Global Affairs at MasterCard, you will provide critical legal support to the Global Lead Counsel. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations while providing strategic guidance to business clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial law, particularly in the areas of franchise agreements, global affairs, and digital technologies. You will work closely with the Global Lead Counsel to develop and implement effective legal strategies that align with the company's goals.

Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support for review of new MasterCard Standards.
- Offer guidance on additional use cases of MasterCard's standards/requirements.
- Understand the effects of regulation on our Franchise and manage the effects while maintaining a globally interoperable system.
- Support Franchise Service engagements and the licensing/customer onboarding process.
- Collaborate with legal colleagues throughout the company as the Franchise liaison.

About You:
- A law degree from a top-tier university is required.
- Professional experience in general commercial legal matters in a reputable international law firm and/or as an in-house lawyer for a multinational company is necessary.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively advise executive-level management are essential.
- Experience working with technology and having a strong interest in financial technology and information security issues is desirable.
