Mastercard Regulatory Affairs Strategist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Regulatory Affairs Strategist to join our team at Mastercard, Inc.
About the RoleThis newly created position will engage with central banks, governments, non-governmental organizations, and private sector partners on key regulatory initiatives impacting the payments industry. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated history of developing and executing proactive engagement strategies with the public sector - both directly and through a network of third parties.
Main Responsibilities- Designing, developing, and executing proactive advocacy campaigns and engagement strategies with the aim of educating and influencing key regulators and policy-makers around the world on the regulation of crypto-assets.
- Establishing, and cultivating collaborative relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders - including industry, civil society, and academic associations - to amplify and enhance Mastercard's position on priority crypto-asset, tokenized deposit, stablecoin and CBDC regulatory issues.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in financial services policy/regulatory advocacy roles;
- A robust understanding of the payments industry and key regulatory issues across a range of major markets;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Highly confident and a problem solver able to tackle unfamiliar situations, setting clear objectives and working collaboratively with teammates towards a shared goal.
