Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Oil Analyst to join our global fundamentals team at Energy Aspects. This is an exciting opportunity for an Oil Analyst to take on a leadership role and contribute to the company's rapid growth story.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the global team to ensure high-quality reports that meet our standards for accuracy and depth of insight.
  • Develop and maintain oil demand forecasting models, including refining processes and statistical tools.
  • Manage a team of energy analysts and oversee the development of medium-term energy demand forecasts.
  • Assist in formulating the company's view of global liquids markets.
  • Present our views on oil markets to clients and contribute to written monthly reports.
  • Enable the team to undertake bespoke research for clients when required.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in oil balances analysis, including refined products and NGLs.
  • Fundamental modelling experience, including complex refining models and statistical tools.
  • Knowledge of global oil products markets and refining processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in writing reports and conducting presentations.
  • Attention to detail is essential for handling data and written English.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively with colleagues in different time zones.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience developing bottoms-up energy demand models across the commodity complex.
  • Experience managing junior and entry-level analysts.
  • Data analysis and coding skills, using languages like Python, SQL, or similar.
