Job Title: Paediatric Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Paediatric Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Royal Stoke Hospital. As a key member of the Child Health Directorate, you will work closely with clinicians to provide an effective service for children and young people with Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver innovative and evidence-based practice through professional leadership.
  • Support the clinical team to develop the specialist area of care.
  • Work collaboratively with clinicians to provide an effective service for children and young people with Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia.
Requirements:
  • Current Children's Nursing Registration: RSCN/RN-Child.
  • Degree Level Nursing/Health related studies.
  • Clinical Health Assessment Skills Qualification.
  • Mentorship or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience.
  • Ability to prioritise workload in response to service need.
  • Ability to work autonomously and be accountable for own actions.
  • Ability to develop medium and long-term plans to meet service need and ensure sustainability.
Personal Qualities:
  • Effective communicator both written and oral.
  • IT skills, including keyboard and word processing skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team across all care and organisational settings.
