Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Paediatric Dietitian to join our team at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. As a Paediatric Dietitian, you will provide specialist dietetic advice to inpatients and outpatients within the hospital and community settings.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide support to the senior ward dietitian, conduct face-to-face and telephone clinics, and work closely with the HEF dietitian service and gastroenterology dietitians. You will have a varied and interesting caseload, covering critical care, diabetes, gastroenterology, eating disorders, neonates, cystic fibrosis, and nutrition support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist dietetic advice to inpatients and outpatients
  • Support the senior ward dietitian and conduct clinics
  • Work closely with the HEF dietitian service and gastroenterology dietitians
  • Conduct audits and provide training to patients, carers, and other community staff
  • Contribute to service development and improvement

Person Specification
  • Registered dietitian with relevant BSc, postgraduate diploma, or masters
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Health Care Professions Council registration
  • Demonstrate relevant work experience in paediatric dietetics within the NHS
  • Worked as a dietitian in an acute care setting within the NHS
  • Experience of working in different clinical settings
  • Demonstrate evidence of MDT working
