Paediatric Dietitian Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Paediatric Dietitian to join our team at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. As a Paediatric Dietitian, you will play a vital role in providing specialist dietetic advice to inpatients and outpatients within the hospital and community settings.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist dietetic care for the management of children with a variety of conditions within an inpatient and outpatient setting.
- Prioritise and provide specialist paediatric dietetic services to a range of acute care locations and specified clinics, liaising with colleagues across the health economy.
- Provide specialist education and training to doctors, pharmacists, nurses, dietitians, and other professionals.
- Undertake research and support audit opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with patients, parents, carers, and professionals.
- Support the provision of a comprehensive and high-quality paediatric dietetic service for both inpatients and outpatients, working to agreed standards, policies, and procedures.
- Provide support to the development, implementation, and audit of dietetic protocols and pathways for infants and children within specialties.
- Registered dietitian (with relevant BSc, postgraduate diploma, or masters).
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Health Care Professions Council registration.
- Demonstrate relevant work experience in paediatric dietetics within the NHS.
- Worked as a dietitian in an acute care setting within the NHS.
- Experience of working in different clinical settings.
- Demonstrates evidence of MDT working.
