About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead our client, Headway Norfolk and Waveney, a dynamic and impactful non-profit organization dedicated to empowering brain injury survivors and their families.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of strategic leadership, vision, and innovation, with a deep commitment to the mission and values of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic vision and leadership to the operation and development of Headway Norfolk and Waveney, ensuring alignment with the organization's charitable purposes and goals.
  • Take overall responsibility for the management and administration of the organization, ensuring effective governance and accountability frameworks.
  • Work closely with the Board of Trustees to enable them to fulfill their duties and responsibilities, providing advice, recommendations, and information in a timely and effective manner.
  • Develop and implement a bold and ambitious new strategy, driving meaningful change in the community and ensuring the organization's continued growth and success.
Requirements
  • Substantial experience of working at both management and strategic level, ideally within the non-profit sector.
  • Proven experience of implementing an organization's strategic vision, managing a substantial budget, and leading a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and profile raise.
  • Good understanding of company and charity law, with the ability to analyze systems and procedures and implement effective changes.
