Job Summary

Capita is seeking an experienced Assistive Technology Trainer/DSA Assessor to join our team. As a key member of our public service division, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on assistive technology and disability support services to students and educators in higher education institutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Holding structured meetings with individuals to identify appropriate study and support strategies to facilitate participation in their study activities.
  2. Evaluating the suitability of hardware, software, and assistive technology for each individual and providing advice on recommended solutions.
  3. Preparing and producing study needs assessment reports for students in accordance with regulations, timeframes, and guidance.
  4. Delivering high-quality, relevant AT training to meet customer needs.

Requirements

  1. Excellent report writing abilities and attention to detail.
  2. Extensive knowledge of the DSA funding guidance.
  3. Great communication skills in both Welsh and English.
  4. An in-depth understanding and current knowledge of assistive technology and its role in addressing challenges across a broad range of disabilities.
  5. Adept at working to strict KPIs and producing work of excellent quality.
