Project Commercial Lead

We're seeking a skilled Commercial Manager to join our Rail business and lead the commercial team on various projects across the Manchester region.
As a Commercial Manager, you'll work closely with the Kier Rail team to support the commercial aspects of rail infrastructure projects for a diverse customer base. Our projects involve major improvements and complete construction of new stations, with specialist teams managing complex works from conception through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement commercial strategies and frameworks for projects, collaborating with the Construction Director/Commercial Manager to monitor their effectiveness.
- Establish efficient systems for filing and retrieving information, ensuring seamless access for team members and archiving old project materials.
- Oversee and manage subcontractor accounts, including procurement and financial management.
- Compile project-specific commercial issues for reporting and presentation at client progress meetings.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Experience within the rail, construction, or civils industry.
- Background in a similar role, with expertise in identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
