About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our team in the Transformation Unit at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience in Level 1 nursing and be able to provide high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiac and thoracic surgery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation.
  • Conduct regular nursing audits to ensure compliance with Trust standards.
  • Develop and maintain a positive ward/department culture and contribute to excellent nursing care.
  • Demonstrate expertise in evidence-based practice and provide guidance to junior staff members.
  • Identify and mitigate clinical risks to patients.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all staff, patients, and visitors.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse qualification.
  • Relevant experience in Level 1 nursing.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of evidence-based practice.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £35,964 - £43,780 per annum, plus inner London HCAs allowance.
