Job Description

The Transformation Unit seeks a skilled professional to assume the role of Deputy Endoscopy Sister/Charge Nurse. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the Nursing team to provide high-quality care for patients.

Main Duties:

  • Provide strong clinical leadership skills and inspire the nursing team towards a common goal.
  • Be involved in rostering and allocation/approval of bank & agency staff.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day running of the ward to deliver safe and effective care.
  • Deal with complaints in a calm and efficient manner.
  • Be a role model in delivering safe and effective patient care.
  • Assess, plan, and implement care, provide specialist advice, and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide leadership, support, and guidance to staff in monitoring the planning delivery and evaluation of individualized care.

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience of managing an Endoscopy Unit.
  • Experience of clinical supervision.
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate specialist care delivered to patients/clients.

This position requires a BSC/1st degree (health-related) or equivalent qualification/training and experience. Additionally, evidence of ongoing professional development in relevant areas of specialty is essential.
