Mechatronics Engineering Tutor

Now Education is working with an FE College to recruit a skilled Mechatronics Engineering Tutor who will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, tutoring, and assessing Level 3 apprentices on the Engineering Technician standard - Mechatronics pathway and Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician (MOET) - Electrical and mechanical pathways.

You will teach in both classroom and workshop environments, complete guidance, and mock end-point assessments to ensure apprentices are ready for independent assessment at the end of their apprenticeship.

You are expected to embed maths and English into your delivery to ensure learners without required Functional skills or equivalent can pass exams.

This permanent role offers a 37-hour workweek at the Crewe site.

The successful applicant must be flexible, confident, and an excellent communicator.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Fulfill teaching commitments in both classroom and workshop environments.
  2. Capture evidence for learning, achievement, funding, and Ofsted effectively and timely, including:
  3. Individualized learning programs agreed with employer and learner based on initial assessments and including Maths and English.
  4. Deliver Maths and English (and ICT where applicable) to support learners' achievement and progress in these areas.
  5. Work closely with IQA's on best practice, development needs, and providing sampling, monitoring as detailed in the IQA plan.
  6. Contribute to the production of high-quality learning materials.
Requirements:
  1. Relevant occupational sector experience and relevant qualifications (at a level 3 or higher than delivery).
  2. Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths, and ICT or equivalent, or willing to undertake.
  3. Ability to deliver high-quality, effective coaching that meets learner needs.
  4. Ability to deliver engaging and interactive teaching in the workshop to meet learners' needs.
  5. Proactively drive learner performance and engagement.
  6. Teaching qualification Cert ed/CTTLS/DTTLS/EAT/PGCE or equivalent.

The estimated salary for this role is approximately £32,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
