Job Title: Children's Home Registered Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Registered Manager to lead our Children's Home in Rochdale. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of positive leadership in the sector, including Good/Outstanding Ofsted judgements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Overall management of the children's residential home, maintaining high professional standards and practice.
  2. Ensure resources are used and organised in line with council and service policies and procedures, and legal frameworks for children's homes and looked after children.
  3. Promote the health, education, safety, welfare, and positive social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of children and young people who are looked after, ensuring tasks identified in the overall care plan for those young people are carried out.
  4. Be an integral part of the management team within cared for children services, promoting multi-agency working to improve outcomes for cared for children.
Requirements:
  1. Previously been registered with Ofsted.
  2. Diploma 5 in Management or equivalent.
  3. At least 5 years of residential child care work (including working with families).
  4. At least 2 years management experience within residential child care/social care setting.
  5. Experience of supervising staff.
  6. Enhanced DBS check.
