Job Title: Lead Nurse Respiratory Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Nurse Respiratory Specialist to join our team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our Respiratory team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our respiratory services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the care of patients with respiratory diseases such as COPD and asthma.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and experience.
  • Collaborate with medical teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Lead and develop nurse-led clinics and services to promote safe patient pathways.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies to ensure high-quality care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits to drive service excellence.
  • Provide education and training to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals to promote health and prevent illness.
  • Act as a patient advocate and counselor to ensure informed decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse on the NMC register.
  • MSc or working towards it.
  • Post-registration nursing experience in managing patients with respiratory diseases.
  • Independent Nurse Prescriber or working towards it.
