About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vascular Surgeon to join our team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Vascular Surgeon, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our vascular services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert surgical care to patients with vascular conditions, including elective and emergency procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of vascular services, including clinical governance and audit.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in teaching and training of medical students and junior doctors.
  • Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Full and Specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligibility for registration within six months.
  • Appropriate higher surgical qualification in Vascular Surgery (e.g., FRCS, FEBVS).
  • Experience in clinical training and surgery equivalent to that required for UK CCST.
  • Ability to work as an independent practitioner in the specialty.
  • Experience in teaching, research, and quality improvement.
