Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse to join our Occupational Health nursing team across Cardiff and Vale UHB and Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB.

This role involves assisting in the provision and development of a proactive Occupational Health Service for employees, in accordance with statutory requirements.

The post holder will be responsible for assessing clinical care needs and developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical care programmes in accordance with agreed policy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing clinical care needs and developing clinical care programmes
  • Managing day-to-day clinic activity
  • Providing a proactive Occupational Health Service

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registered nurse NMC Sub part 1
  • Evidence of relevant professional development
  • Post basic qualification at either diploma or degree level in Occupational Health or relevant subject, or working towards

Desirable Qualifications

We welcome applications from candidates with:

  • Registered nurse NMC Sub part 3 BSc SCPHN - OH
  • Diploma in OH nursing
  • NEBOSH qualification
  • Relevant teaching qualification
  • Relevant health promotion qualification
  • Relevant management qualification

Experience

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Post registration experience in Occupational Health or relevant specialty
  • Experience of risk assessment
  • Experience in nurse-led practice

Skills

You will need:

  • Excellent Communication skills
  • I.T. skills

Special Knowledge

You will need to have:

  • Knowledge of the health and Wellbeing agenda
  • Knowledge of current Health & Safety Regulations
